Nguyen and Gutierrez take the Speedy Stop Open
Congratulations Angel Nguyen and Jason Gutierrez on the win at the #SpeedyStopOpen 2024. Angel and Jason fishing for Navy Redfish Anglers brought in 2 Port O’Connor redfish tipping the scales at 14.70 pounds to take the top spot netting this team a cool $2,500.00 check, champions trophies and awards and the title of Brecknell Elite Kayak Tour champions. Angel and Jason also weighed in the Brecknell Big Red of the tournament a great 7.41 pounds for another $1,500.00, a nice bonus and tipping their total take to $4,000.00 total for this one day of competition.
Landing in second place Dustin NIchols and Travis Price, team Waterloo Rods weighed in 12.19 pounds netting a nice $1,000.00 check. Third place went to Adam and Orlando Pena, team Rippin’ Lips Lures and took home $600.00. Finishing out the top 4 and catching $400.00 was the team of Oscar Alvarado and Tom Bulger of Redfish Nation. Next up the Border Wars National Championship October 17-19, presented by Visit Lake Charles.
