Braly / Caron Win Historic Championship!

When the dust settled, they took home both the Tidewater Boats Championship and Team of the Year titles. Congratulations, anglers.

Making History

Winning both the Championship and the Team of the Year titles meant both anglers received their own certificate for a brand new Tidewater 21′ Bay Boat, Yamaha 200 HP Outboard and a McClain Tandem Axle Trailer.

The team’s total winnings during this no-entry fee championship topped the $125,000.00 mark, the largest single event payback to a single team in the history of the sport!

Braly and Caron weighed in a total of 64.77 pounds.

Second place finishers Dwayne Eschete and Kevin Akin, team Yamaha, weighed in 62.52 pounds. Landing in third place with a very impressive tournament was the team of Freddy Frederick and Trey Fournier with 52.96 while fourth went to the Louisiana team of Kevin Harvey and Kelly Dupre with 52.74. The fifth and final spot was captured by Steve Auld and Thomas Barlow bringing in 43.17 pounds.

6th – Sanchez/Coleman 29.21, 7th – Castillo/Lockwood 28.11, 8th – Braddock/Gidrey 24.83, 9th – Fretina/Fretina 16.63 and 10th McKinny/Battles 15.50.

The 2019 Tidewater Boats Championship was a big success with a small field of top teams fishing without entry fees for 2 great grand prizes on the pristine waters of South Padre Island.
