Lake Charles lands the 2024 Elite Solo tour Championship
This past August talks involving representatives and officials from Lake Charles in charge of showcasing their community reached out to Elite Fishing Series offices about a potential 2024 tour stop. After several phone calls, text messages and emails an in person meeting and site visit featuring the 3 locations that will be used for the qualifying and championship rounds during the 2024 frogg toggs Elite Fishing Series Solo Tour National Championship.
Immediately we knew this was the place we wanted to be to showcase the pros of the frogg toggs Elite Solo Tour, the community, civic center and of course the great redfishing in and around the Lake Charles area. One week after the meeting the contract was signed guaranteeing the 2024 tournament season would end with the “Border Wars National Championship.”
Not far from the border of Louisiana and Texas, the members qualifying for the 2024 National Championship will not have to go far after launching their boats at Calcasieu Point landing to find good Lake Charles redfish. Saturday’s Championship round will begin with the morning launch moving to Prien Lake Park, after a full day of fishing the pros and their cameramen will join the police escort to the Lake Charles Civic Center for the 2024 National Championship weigh in and Outdoor Expo.
Championship Saturday’s weigh in and Elite Outdoor Expo will take place inside at the Lake Charles Civic Center with a bassmaster classic style drive through weigh in where the pros will be driven in rigs around the oval perimeter with special introductions and acknowledgements prior to hitting the stage. Joining in on the fun will be several indoor and outdoor sporting vendors and anticipated thousands in attendance.

With more information to come it can now be announced, the Tidewater Boats Elite Fishing Series, presented by Yamaha Outboards will be in Lake Charles in 2024 and can guarantee a great show but one where the Elite tour and anglers will work together with law enforcement, local officials and land owners to ensure a great event that achieves maximum exposure (producing community centered episodes airing on the Discovery Channel) without a negative environmental impact.
Elite professionals have to know how to find and catch fish in all types of conditions and do so annually in waters spanning a distance between tour stops as far east as Jacksonville, FL. all the way to South Padre Island, TX. and all points in between but also understand the importance of and work hard toward creating and maintaining goodwill within the communities they visit.
