Travis Land Wins Stop 1

SEGUIN TEXAS PRO TRAVIS LAND TOOK THE LEAD ON DAY 1 AND NEVER LOOKED BACK~ 

Travis weighed in the only 3 fish limits each day during the event. Day 1 Travis brought in 20.85 pounds anchored by an impressive 8.42 pounder hooked in between the thunderstorms and rain for the lead. Day 2 Land brought in 22.50 pounds and finally on day 3 when all of the weights were zero’d and it was a 1 day shootout between the top 4 pros after 2 days of qualifying rounds… Travis once again brought in 3 fish and these were the best 3 of his week, weighing 24.13 pounds. It was a great week of fishing for me, I saw other guys around me but I was a little further offshore than the others were, Land told the crowd assembled at the Bob Bowers Civic Center in Port Arthur Texas for day 3’s finale. Land took home the $10,000.00 top check for his win in the first event he fished since re signing with Yamaha Outboards to power his 2024 Mamba.

Second went to the only other angler in Championship Saturday’s field to catch a fish, 2023 event winner Jeremy Reeves who managed 1 fish for 6.91 pounds on day 3. Jeremy netted $3,000.00 for his fish while Mark Robinson and Chris Shindledecker shared $1,500.00 leaving the final check for Edna Texas pro Will Granberry taking the $3,000.00 Check It Stik Big Red top spot with his day two 9.42 pounder.

The weather was challenging but everything else about this week was great! In Port Arthur you can find the best food, some great fishing and always a family fun time. The 2nd annual Outdoor Expo went off without a hitch, thank you to the crew at the Bob Bowers Civic Center for an amazing set up.
