Frenette Wins at Show in Slidell

Hoodoo Sports Pro Joe Arthur Wins Again

MIchael Frenette and Jace Bladsacker take the top spot at the #ShowtimeInSlidell Saturday at the Hytorc Elite Team Open with their 2 fish limit weighing in at 18.86 pounds anchored by their Brecknell Big Red winning 11.13 pounder.

Teams were allowed 1 slot fish and 1 kicker fish up to 28″ long as the Louisiana state size limit allows.

2nd place went to Michaels dad and brother, Mike and Stephen Frenette who finished just 0.41 pounds behind the winners. Mike and Stephen’s big red went 10.56 pounds and fell just short of Michael and Jace’s 11+ pounder.

3rd place was won by Tony Viator and Joe Peddy who placed 17.55 pounds of live Louisiana redfish on the Elite scales for a great top 5 finish. Landing in 4th place was Kyle Martin and Steven Swendsen with 17.14 and the top 5 finished out with 2022 winners Brent and Cohen Gros weighing in 16.65 with a beautiful 9.83 pounder anchoring their limit.

It was a great weekend in Slidell with fantastic weather, nice crowds and a lot of receptive redfish waiting to bite.

Visiting the Northshore always produces big smiles, large limits of redfish and the best food on the Gulf Coast. Until next time when we travel to South Padre Island, thank you Slidell and the Louisiana Northshore for doing what you do, the way you do it!

Houston Texas pro, Joe Arthur traveled to and took home the top spot at #ShowtimeInSlidell. Joe weighed in a 2 fish limit of 14.70 pounds of live Louisiana redfish take the top spot.

Joe also landed the Brecknell Big Red bounty redfish a beautiful 7.69 pounder for the Brecknell bonus of $2,100.00. Joe’s total take was $5,100.00 on a very limited field of kayakers as we continue to build our Elite circuit of kayak anglers.

2nd place went to Jerry Cottrell and Robert Burkhardt, team Overcast Lure Co weighing in 12.15 pounds of beautiful, live redfish.

3rd place was caught by the team of Buth Ridgedell and Terry Pham while the top 5 finished out with Jonathon Carter and Francis Tran taking 4th and the Houma pro kayak team of Kalon Johnson and Brandon Thibodaux taking the final spot in the top 5.

Once again the field included anglers willing to travel to chase the dream like  team Heatherns Outdoors of Derick Lewis and Joe Lee making the trip from South Carolina to compete in the redfish rich waters of Louisiana.

This was a challenging yet rewarding event proving regardless of what hand you get dealt just buckle down, persevere and continue on, the cards will fall for you eventually.

Thank you Visit the Northshore for your support, no one can question your support of the sport of redfishing.
